A rare example in images of the beginning of Charlie Chaplin’s career as an actor, this album brings together photograms of 29 of the 36 first short films in which Charlie Chaplin played in 1914. As the pages turn, we witness the birth of the Tramp character, who gradually takes over in front of and behind the camera on both the script and the direction.
The Keystone Album was restored, and this book released, thanks to the support of the Fondation BNP Paribas Suisse.
