Stephen Shore, Véhiculaire & Vernaculaire
Stephen Shore, Véhiculaire & Vernaculaire
Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, Paris
From June 1 to September 15, 2024
Stephen Shore's Véhiculaire & Vernaculaire accompanies the eponymous exhibition at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson. Both examine the photographer's work through the unexplored prism of vehicular photography. Since the 1960s, Shore has made most of his images from a means of locomotion. The journey, as important as the destination, becomes a pretext for experimenting and constructing a singular photographic work.
