Accompanying the release of the artist book Painted Ladies by Valérie Belin, we have conceived a limited edition in a delicate canvas box including the book with a print from the series: Lady Inpainting.
Painted Ladies gathers a series of women portraits made by Valérie Belin in 2017. Each woman is portrayed made-up revealing the traces of a brush used to paint or make-up. The superposition of layers inscribe the portrait in a form of abstraction. The different papers and textures of the book leave one to imagin these eight women along with a literary essay by French author Eric Reinhardt.
