Born in Nancy in 1965, Éric Reinhardt found fame after the publication of his second novel, Le Moral des Ménages, in 2001. This success was amplified in 2007 with Cendrillon, unanimously hailed by the critics, and confirmed by Le Système Victoria four years later. His latest novel, L’Amour et les Forêts, published by Gallimard in 2014, and named novel of the year by Lire magazine, has received the Renaudot des Lycéens.

He has also written the libretto of a ballet by Angelin Preljocaj for Opéra Bastille, Siddharta (2010), interviews with Christian Louboutin (Rizzoli, New York, 2011), as well as a number of illustrated books relating to architecture, including Tour Granite (Éditions Xavier Barral, 2009). His first play Élisabeth ou L’Équité, was created at the Théâtre du Rond-Point by Frédéric Fisbach in November 2013.

As a fan of artistic transversality, he has participated in reading-performances with prima ballerina Marie-Agnès Gillot, singer Bertrand Belin, and the band Feu! Chatterton. In 2012, he received the Globe de Cristal d’Honneur for his overall achievement.
