In this publication, Hiroshi Sugimoto revisits the most emblematic buildings of modern architecture from around the world taken with a large-format camera enabling the photographer to set manually his focal point. Using this technique, each building has a particular blur. Sugimoto invites the viewer in a journey beyond the architectural subject, questioning the role of architecture in our daily life as well as the role of photography faced with buildings.
