Dada is an artistic, literary and political movement that emerged in Zurich and New York in around 1916. This book invites us on a journey into the madness of the dada revolt, presenting over a thousand works. After a historical approach to the major dada events since 1916, the book focuses on the itinerant exhibition initiated by the Centre Pompidou in Paris, coproduced with the National Gallery of Art in Washington and the MoMA in New York between 2005 and 2006.

As is often the case when an exhibition tours, the three curatorial approaches offer three different interpretations of the movement based on an identical corpus of works.

The aim of this book is to retrace the itinerant pathway of this event, offering comparative views of how the works were presented.
