William Klein

William Klein - Yes

An unprecedented survey, William Klein – Yes brings together all of the artist's work through nearly 400 pages, from the first abstract series to his films and painted contacts, including the emblematic series of New York, Rome, Tokyo, Paris, Moscow and his fashion photographs. Like his previous publications, this book, with its very graphic layout, was designed with the complicity of William Klein, who followed the editing and layout to the end alongside Pierre-Louis Denis and Tiffanie Pascal, who run her studio.

This ultimate monographic work testifies to an abundant, protean body of work, mixing photographs, films and paintings, many of which have never been published before. It also reveals how the work of William Klein has influenced several generations of artists and finds important extensions even today. To accompany these images, a long essay (in French) by David Campany, director of the International Center of Photography in New York, offers a rereading of all of the artist's work since his debut.
