This edition brings together 4 volumes in a box set. Three facsimiles present founding works by the artist (Le livre des lois divines révélées dans l’ordre des persécutés [The Book of Divine Laws revealed among the Order of the Persecuted]; L’alphabet ouest-africain (le bété) [The West African Alphabet (Bété)]; Deux contes [Two Tales]). The fourth volume assembles biographical texts, experts’ testimonies, handwritten letters and photographs spanning more than fifty years of the life of Frédéric Bruly Bouabré. This is the first book of this scope to be dedicated to the author, containing a number of philosophical, encyclopaedic, pedagogical, poetic and artistic aspects that shed light on his civilising and universal thought.
