The suffering and pain of WWII led photographer Dominique Darbois to seek out other civilizations. Trotting the globe and getting involved in altruistic causes, she found in children hope for exchange between peoples.
"I dragged my cameras to over sixty different countries," she says. "In a corner of my library, thousands of carefully arranged snapshots each tell a story: emotion, sadness, joy. The bad memories fade, the moments of joy remain."
Faithful to her convictions, today Dominique Darbois continues her involvement with humanitarian associations.
