Every human being reacts differently and I don’t think there are two similar visions of the same image explains Marloes Krijnen, director and founder of the Foam Fotografie Museum in Amsterdam, who looked into the scope and specificity of the Neuflize Vie collection in this book. A collection presenting a remarkable selection of more than 800 classic and contemporary works by established to more emerging artists following a thematic thread, on the human being in all its forms.

 

To punctuate this visual journey through more than 600 photographs, several essays by poet Patrick Bouvet, composer Georges Aperghis, designers François Azambourg and Eva Eisler, authors Alberto Manguel and Véronique Ovaldé, mathematician Cédric Villani, architect Liesbeth van der Pol and Serge Toubiana, director of the Cinémathèque française, create a pace in this aesthetic strolling. At the end of the book, the artists’ biographies are included.
