Eva Jospin

Visual artist, born in 1975, Eva Jospin graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. Her interest in the imaginary world of the forest is deployed through immersive installations. Made of patient assemblages, collages of strata, cutouts of volumes, her sculptures and high reliefs chiseled in cardboard, in particular, develop imaginary landscapes conducive to "mental escapes" as she specifies, continuing: “I have a small dream of building things, useless things, spaces for reflection and reverie.”. Eva Jospin has taken part in numerous group exhibitions, including Inside, at the Palais de Tokyo, in Paris, before becoming a resident of the Académie de France in Rome, at the Villa Médicis, in 2016. Her solo exhibitions include, more recently, Panorama in the Square Courtyard of the Louvre in 2016 and Cénotaphe at the Abbey of Montmajour, in Arles, in 2020 as well as the Musée des impressionnismes in Giverny and the Musée de la chasse et de la nature in Paris, in 2021.
