Born in 1983, Pierre-Elie has undertaken his first photographic reportages in Cuba and Myanmar in 2007. With them, he has received several awards organized by Paris Match, Photo as well as the Prix Levallois in 2018. 

His series American Showcase, produced in New York in 2010, has been the subject of a first monograph by Archibooks. Between 2013 and 2014, the photographer has documented the dancers of the Paris Opera. Immersed in the backstage of the Garnier and Bastille operas, he has captured through his lens the daily work of dancers, their surrounding studio atmosphere, and the behind the scenes.

Since 2010, his photographs has been exhibited in various galleries and institutions worldwide, among them, the FIAC and Paris Photo in Paris, Art Lexing Gallery in Miami, AAF in Brussels. He is currently represented by the French agency VU’.
