Zhong Weixing, born in 1962 in Chengdu, China, shares his life and work between Chengdu and Vancouver. He began his career as a photographer in 2003, and successively published Lost Paradise, Obscure Sky with Yellow Land, Madagascar Photographic Travelogue, Peru Photographic Travelogue – Woodstock at the top of the mountain, etc. He organized and contributed to many exhibitions in the United States, China, Spain, and Brazil. Besides, he founded the Chengdu International Photographic Exchange Association and is an important collector of photography.
In 2015, Zhong Weixing initiated his project to portray great contemporary photographers by meeting them all around the world. To this day, he already took photographs of more than seventy photographers, such as Sebastião Salgado, William Klein, Robert Frank, Bernard Faucon, Daido Moriyama and Nobuyoshi Araki.
