After the Château d'Eau in Toulouse and the Hangar in Brussels, the group exhibition from the Des oiseaux collection takes off for Sweden, at Landskrona Foto.
With more than 130 photographs works, the exhibition Des oiseaux celebrates the aviary world; the birds of our urban spaces but also those of faraway lands. Each photographer, with his or her own unique style, takes a look at the universe of birds in a poetic and fascinating way. The diversity of approaches, like that of latitudes, invites to an exploration of the sky and its flying folks. Leila Jeffreys' video, Nature is not a place to visit (2019) is also featured in the exhibition as well as the documentary, Bird Nerd: The Art of Leila Jeffreys (2019) directed by Poppy Stockelle, is shown in the Museum's film room.
The artists present in the collection and who will be part of the exhibition are: Bernard Plossu (France), Pentti Sammallahti (Finland), Yoshinori Mizutani (Japan), Terri Weifenbach (USA), Graciela Iturbide (Mexico), Michael Kenna (England), Leila Jeffreys (Australia), Albarrán Cabrera (Spain), Byung-Hun Min (Korea), Rinko Kawauchi (Japan), Paolo Pellegrin (Italia), Christophe Maout (France) and Roger Ballen (South Africa).
