Luce Lebart

A passionate lover of clouds and photography, Luce Lebart is a photography historian and independent curator. A researcher for the Archive of Modern Conflict collection, she has also served as artistic director of the Pavillon populaire in Montpellier since the summer of 2026. She has curated numerous exhibitions in France and abroad and is the author of several photography books that shed light on little-known collections, including Mold is Beautiful (Poursuite, 2015), Inventions (RVB Books – CNRS, 2018), and more recently Natures vivantes (Atelier EXB, 2024) and Premières fois Premières photos (Spector Books, 2026). She co-edited the book Une histoire mondiale des femmes photographes (Textuel, 2020). Luce Lebart is currently preparing a major, unprecedented exhibition on clouds, which will be presented in France in the summer of 2027.
