Noémie Ninot

Born in 1999, Noémie Ninot graduated from the École Duperré in 2021 and the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs de Paris in 2025. Her art practice explores the notion of repetition as a mechanism of transmission, normalisation, and alienation of bodies. Through staged photography and sculpture, she strives to turn the codes of embellishment against themselves, in order to reveal their imperatives and expose the simulacra. Her series Matriphagie (2021), a photographic investigation undertaken with young girls aged from four to eleven, reveals the way in which norms pertaining to femininity are conveyed and interi-orised very early on, through family life, everyday gestures, and media representations. Noémie Ninot lives and works in Paris.
