Jean-Michel Ribes is the author and director of around twenty plays, including Théâtre sans animaux (2001, which won a Molière Award for Best Comic Play and Best Author), Musée haut, musée bas (2004) and René l’énervé, opéra-bouffe et tumultueux orchestrated by Reinhardt Wagner. Also a filmmaker, he has written and directed two cults series for television Merci Bernard and Palace, among others, and for the cinema, Chacun pour toi (1993) and Musée haut, musée bas (2008). He has been the director of the Théâtre du Rond-Point since 2002, dedicated to contemporary writing.
