Perrin & Perrin

Martine and Jacki Perrin began working together in 1967. For over ten years, they have worked on ceramics and learned Far Eastern calligraphy from the Korean artist Ung No Lee. They became interested in glass in the 1990s, and began teaching at the Sars-Poteries glass summer school in 1998. Glass then became their preferred medium. They developed the unique Build-in-glass method, which allows them to constantly renew their art. Their works, inspired by calligraphy, poetry and music, play on the effects of transparency, porosity and, above all, light. They can be found in the permanent collections of major French and foreign institutions, including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Musée du Verre in Charleroi and the Musée Cantonal de Design et d'Arts Appliqués Contemporains in Lausanne. They live and work in Paris.
