Born in 1981 in Zug, Switzerland, Lukas Hoffmann lives and works in Berlin. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, his work has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at the Lucerne Arte Museum (2011); the Kunsthaus Zug (2019); the Photoforum Pasquart in Biel (2019), the art center Le point du jour in Cherbourg (2021) and most recently at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2022. Some images from the Strassenbilder series are currently on view in the exhibition Corps à corps. Histoire(s) de la photographie at the Centre Pompidou in Paris (October 2023-March 2024). His work can be found in the collections of the Centre national des arts plastiques, the Fondation Hermès and Neuflize Vie.
Lukas Hoffmann is represented in France and Switzerland by Galerie C, and the Annex14 gallery in Zurich.
