A photographer for the theater and studio assistant in his early days, the work of Pierre-Olivier Deschamps was quickly disseminated by the French newspaper Liberation. He was one of the first photographers to join Agence VU 'when it was created in 1986. He then produced numerous portraits in the fields of literature and cinema, and participated in the development of a new type of photography reportage. For the past ten years, through media publications and collaborations with institutions, he has been interested in architecture and all forms of urban landscape. In 2010, he obtained a World Press Photo for his Residence series. He also carried out a major photographic campaign on the urban landscapes of the Ile-de-France region, documenting all of the 67 future sites of the Greater Paris project.
