Both born in 1969, Angel Albarrán in Barcelona and Anna Cabrera in Seville, the couple have been working together since 1996. Particularly influenced by Western and Eastern thinkers and artists, they draw on the sources of literature and science to create a powerful, evocative and dreamlike body of photographic work. Albarrán Cabrera’s photographs can be found in numerous private collections and institutions, including the Fundació La Pedrera in Barcelona, the Fundació Toni Catany in Mallorca and the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid. The couple is represented by a dozen galleries worldwide, including Esther Woerdehoff in Paris. On Listening to Trees is the second book published by Atelier EXB, following Des oiseaux in 2020.
