Born in Davos, Switzerland, in 1975, Dominique Teufen was awarded a BA in sculpture by the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, in 2002. She then worked and exhibited in Melbourne, Zürich, London, and New York. After moving back to Amsterdam, she graduated with an MFA from the Academy of Art and Design St. Joost, ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, in 2010.
Since 2011, she has lived and worked in Zürich and Amsterdam, and shown her work nationally and internationally, including at the Centraal Museum, Utrecht (2016); Bogota Biennial (2017); Fries Museum, Leeuwarden (2018); NRW-Forum, Düsseldorf (2018); and Museum für Fotografie, Berlin (2019).
In 2013, she was awarded the VFG Swiss Young Talent Award and the Prix MLL. She was one of the Lensculture Emerging Talents of 2018. She has been represented by the Christophe Guye Gallery, Zürich, Switzerland, since 2014.
