Born in Tokyo in 1951, Yuriko Takagi studied graphic design at Musashito University in Japan, and fashion design at Trent Polytechnic in Great Britain. She has worked for both fashion photography (Pleats Please Issey Miyake among various publications) and developed more personal projects (The Birth of Gravity, Confused Gravitation, Nus Intime). Her very humanistic approach and her interest in the body in movement within space inform her intimate eye, fascinated by the immersion of the body in nature.
Her photographs are regularly exhibited in Japan and Europe and are part of major museums collections such as the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo and the Shangai Museum.
