Born in 1974, he lives and works in Paris. After studies in Literature and Cinema, he initially worked in the advertising world. Since 2002, he has entirely dedicated himself to photography. Éditions Xavier Barral published the full “Dark Lens” series in 2011, along with a preface by George Lucas. The series was later shown at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris, in 2012.

Cédric Delsaux continues to explore the ambivalent relationship between fiction and reality, through the “1784” series in which he shut 17 actors inside a castle for 7 days and made them live like people from the 18th century; “Échelle 1” [Life Size] in which ordinary passers-by are transformed into statues or figurines; and “Underground Society”, which imagines a society constantly grappling with Catastrophe. Several photographs from the “Zone de Repli” [Fall-Back Zone] series were presented for the first time at the Tri Postal in Lille in 2014, as part of the Transphotographiques Festival and the France(s) Territoire Liquide collective.
